Vocas MB-256 Matte Box SKU: 0200-0256 The Vocas MB-256 has been specifically designed for use with Zeiss CP.2 lenses. Therefore this matte box is compatible with lenses that have a front side diameter of up to 114 mm. The matte box features a Quick-Lock mounting system that attaches directly to the front lens barrel. This matte box can also be attached to the camera with a 15 mm lightweight support or on top 15 mm rails. The MB-256 matte box is also compatible with the Vocas swing away bracket (0460-0600) This matte box accommodates 3x3" through 4x6" filters and works with most wide angle lenses in both 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratios. The Vocas MB-256 has one rotatable and one fixed 4" wide filter tray and it also features a patented "heavy duty" French flag clamper. Internal eyebrows are standard on the MB-256. They can be operated from the outside of the matte box. These patented internal French flags allow the user to adjust the matte (or mask) to the zoom position of the lens. Although the MB-256 can be used as a clip-on matte box, we recommend the use of a barsadapter or swing away bracket and a MBS-100 matte box support. Can you imagine a follow focus system that is 100% playless? The Vocas MFC-3F has no transmission between the focus knob and the drive gear, so we can guarantee a 100% playless follow focus! Read on to learn more about our newest innovation. 100% Playless The unique feature of the new follow focus system MFC-3 is that the focus knob and drive gear consist of only one part, there is no transmission in the new MFC-3. This is a direct drive, and because of the elimination of internal gears, there can never be any difference in the motion going in and going out, making it 100% playless, Vocas can guarantee you that! This design also results in the MFC-3 having a 1:1 'transmission' ratio making it ideal for lenses with a small focus throw such as DSLR lenses and smaller cameras with integrated lenses. Additionally, because of the elimination of internal gears the lifespan of the product is increased dramatically. The unique shape of the drive gear teeth is what makes this all possible. The MFC-3F has one additional feature over the standard version, namely it has an adjustable friction build in. Rotating the red dial on the focus knob allows you to fine tune the internal friction of the MFC-3F to your own preference. Ergonomics This follow focus is angled slightly downwards for more comfort and can be rotated horizontally to a certain extent to make operating it even more ergonomic Reversible rotation direction The rotation direction can also be reversed. This is easily done by moving the follow focus forward and backwards to let the gear grip the lens on the left or right side of the drive gear. Palm support As with the highly successful Vocas MFC-2, a palm support accessory is available for the MFC-3. This palm support makes it possible to focus the lens and support the camera at the same time! You no longer have to worry about your camera shaking when you switch from supporting your camera to operating the follow focus.
