SLR Magic APO MicroPrime Full-Frame E-Mount

Choosing a smaller size over bulk and weight, the SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine Lens covers full-frame sensors and features a Sony E-mount. Suitable for 4K origination, each lens in the MicroPrime Cine series features a similar size and weight with consistent lens gear positions for rapid lens changes and easier re-balancing when changing lenses on a gimbal.

The APO MicroPrime Cine Lens from SLR Magic offers apochromatic capture in a lighter-weight, cine-style form. These apochromatic lenses feature a 43.27mm image circle projection for 8K cameras with high-resolution full-frame sensors. Its apochromatic elements are designed to correct color aberrations often seen in high-contrast images or shots captured with wide-open apertures.

MicroPrime Cine Lenses Specifically designed to support cinema-style workflows, the lens features a clickless iris for smooth iris pulls and cine-standard geared focus and aperture rings. Provides pleasing bokeh and natural out-of-focus highlights. And allows you to take images with a shallow depth of field, while also being suitable for low-light shots. 150° focus rotation features, an internal focus mechanism / design for a constant lens length, even when adjusting focus, and a non-rotating front. Combined with a short focal length, when you manually rotate the focus ring, you'll be able to adjust it comfortably from start to finish and let the lens breathe as little as possible. All the MicroPrime lenses have color and bokeh consistency between one another. The front diameter is universally 85mm so you can easily move clamp-on matte boxes from one lens to another. 82mm front filter threading for attaching filters or other optional accessories, such as the SLR Magic 65-1.33x Anamorphic adapter or using a variety of off-the-shelf optional lens accessories.

Using costly or vintage lenses for anamorphic shooting has not always been reliable, or achieves the best results. By combining anamorphic fundamentals, current technology and precision optics, SLR Magic provide a reliable solution for anamorphic shooters without compromising quality. Trying to achieve a true anamorphic “look” in post cannot be emulated or faked. By cropping a standard 16:9 aspect ratio using a spherical lens, it discards 25% resolution of the overall image. Using the SLR Magic 1,33x-65 will preserve all pixels from the sensor and give you 33% more optical resolution and field of view from the camera.
