Upper Cage for Sony FX5 - A modular cage for the FX5 that includes
Left Corner Bracket FX5
A mounting cheeseplate that attaches with two 1/4-20 screws, has a swing-away HDMI clamp and included reduction inserts, and 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 holes with ARRI locating pins
Right Corner Bracket FX5
- Attaches to the right side with a slot tab, 1/4-20, and M4 bullnose screw to provide additional 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting points, along with a contoured thumbrest for easy camera gripping
The base of the cage attaches to the camera with two 1/4-20 screws and a front lip to make sure the camera is aligned correctly. Mounting points on all sides make rigging easy, and a recessed area allows battery door access. Below the base is an included ARCA dovetail with 3 lengths of 1/4-20 support posts for attaching to 3rd party lens adapters like Metabones, etc. Side-loading rear filter lens adapters are compatible with the cage, as cage components do not obstruct the lens area.

MID49 Baseline 15mm LW (Upper Cage Sony FX5)SKU: M49-BSL-LW19-FX5 Baseline 15mm LW (Upper Cage Sony FX5) holds two 15mm rods at 15mm lightweight spacing when combined with the Upper Cage Sony FX5. ARRI dovetail slot on the bottom attaches using a top-load locking mechanism to included Baseline ARRI Dovetail or other ARRI standard dovetails. Loosen the thumbscrew and push the silver button on the operator's side to release the baseplate from the ARRI dovetail. To reattach, drop down and listen for the pop to know it has engaged.Adjust the position on the ARRI dovetail, then lock the ratcheting thumbscrew. ARCA dovetail slot on top holds Baseline ARCA Dovetails and can be top-loaded, or installed from the back by sliding in. When sliding in from the back, a safety pin will engage with a pop when properly installed. Adjust the position, then lock the ratcheting thumbscrew. Top-loading can be achieved by loosening the thumbscrew, pulling out on the ratcheting knob, and turning the thumbscrew until ARCA clamp has opened fully. Reverse the process to tightenWeight: 156g
