Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate (Canon C700) SKU: 242800 Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate (Canon C700) is a quick release baseplate that provides lightweight 15mm rod support at the correct lens height for Canon EOS C700. 15mm rods pass through front to back and have two locking thumbscrews per side. The baseplate quick releases in two ways, giving the user the option to take the 15mm lightweight rods or to leave them behind. To remove the camera and leave the LW 15mm rods behind, unlock the right side thumbscrew, slide the camera backwards a short distance, and lift straight up. The dovetail attached to the bottom of the camera is an ARCA Swiss standard shape which can integrate with many third party products. Additionally, there are threaded 1/4-20 holes on the bottom for attaching to gimbals or tripod plates when necessary. On the sides, there are 1/4-20 holes and the ARRI standard accessory mount (3/8-16 threaded hole with locating pins adjacent). Also on this upper dovetail is a vertical 15mm rod opening which can be used to support a lens adapter foot directly in front of the camera body. The bottom of the Wooden Camera Unified Baseplate is comprised of the Lower Quick Dovetail which has 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes for attaching to tripod plate or ARRI standard bridgeplate such as Unified Bridgeplate (19mm) or Unified Bridgeplate (15mm Studio). To remove the camera from the included Lower Quick Dovetail and take the 15mm lightweight rods with you, unlock the left thumbscrew, slide the baseplate backwards a short distance, and lift up. This action exposes an integrated ARRI dovetail slot on the bottom which can attach directly to any 2060 Dovetails, Safety Dovetails, or Shoulder Rigs. For VCT-14 compatible mounting options, the Unified Baseplate can be attached to the Unified VCT Wedge Plate, providing easy counterbalance ability while on the shoulder. This could then be attached to the Unified VCT-14 Tripod Plate which would be attached to the tripod head.Additional Unified Lower Quick Dovetails can be purchased to mount to gimbals, jibs, cranes, etc, making for quick and repeatable camera transitions. Included with the Wooden Camera Top Plate (Canon C500mkII)  is a Canon LCD Bracket Adapter which allows you to reinstall the L bracket and LCD that comes with the camera. This piece can be attached to the front of the Top Plate or to the front of Wooden Camera handles like the NATO Handle Plus V2 and the Top Handle V2. If a longer handle option is desired, consider the Master Top Handle. Please note that while the Top Plate is in use, it is not recommended to attach the original Canon top handle. The wetSuit EOS C500 Mark II is supplied with clear protection covers for a normal and a long lens, making sure that any lens you might use will be well protected. When the lens is shorter than the cover, you can fold it back to the correct size. This item will be delivered to you in a waterproof pouch with zipper, which you can use for storage and transportation of the cover when not in active use.

The PL Mount is made of stainless steel and aircraft grade aluminum and includes the PL port cap. Shims are provided with the kit for adjusting back focus if it is out of calibration. Adjustment should not be needed but can be checked using a wide angle lens and a focus chart. The native Canon C300mkIII/C500mkII Lens Mount screws are used to attach the PL Mount to the camera. The modification process can be reversed by reversing steps in the process. Zacuto Z-Finder for C300-C500 Z-FIND-C3 The C300/500 Z-Finder is an optical viewfinder, specifically designed to attach to the Canon C300 and C500 cinema camera’s LCD screen. This Z-Finder will magnify the LCD screen by 1.8x and has a diopter wheel for specific focus tuning. It cuts out any extraneous light and offers an initial point of stability by pressing your eye against the large eyecup.
