SHAPE Lightweight Single Filter Tray 4X5.6 Matte Box A silicone matte box mounted on a CNC aluminum main frame with an outer diameter of up to 124 mm. It provides a wide field of view for a large variety of wide angle lenses. A single filter tray system with an easy access handle that allow one-handed filter change. The filter tray system opens up from the front by releasing the red safety pin. 4×4 filters can also be installed in the tray. The frame includes two stops at the bottom of the filter tray section to prevent the filter from falling through. Optional removable swing-away and height adjustable rod bloc can be installed for better control. An optional removable light carbon fiber french flag can be attached on top to prevent flares. SHAPE 4x5.6 carbon fiber swing-away matte box SKU: MCF456 Add filters and light control to your camera rig with the 4 x 5.6 Carbon Fiber Swing-Away Matte Box Set from SHAPE. The lightweight matte box features a 2-stage, 4 x 5.65″ 360° rotating filter system and can be mounted on any standard 15mm LWS or 19mm studio rod systems. The two rotating filter stages allow you to insert 4 x 5.65″ filters, such as polarizing or graduated ND, and independently rotate them 360° to find just the right look. The large 143mm opening provides easy access and the 114mm ARRI-style rubber bellows opening is compatible with standard cine lens sizes. Four lens adapters are included to attach 80, 95, 104, and 114mm telephoto lenses to the matte box. The 15mm LWS and 19mm studio rod adapters are height-adjustable to match the size of your lens. A top flag and two side flags are included to prevent unwanted flare, and a top handle with five threaded holes allows you to mount additional accessories such as lights, extension arms, and adapter shoes. The entire system is built on a hinge so you can easily swing the matte box away for lens and filter changes. All the components are packed in a formfitting foam that can be transferred to a carry case of your choice. The Wide Matte Box easily clips on or can be supported with Camera Mounting System for greater sturdiness. This allows you to take off the Matte Box easily when switching lens. With 2 stages of filter trays, one wide (fixed) and one standard (360° rotatable for graduating filters), both filter trays accept 4x4” filters and are removable from the top as well as the bottom, which gives you easy access and withdrawal of the filters. It is made from high-grade aluminium with a non-reflective black coating finish. The GSP-400-038 adaptor bracket can be attached to the lower side of the Matte Box and allows the Matte Boxes to be supported on 12 mm and 15 mm bars. There are a wide range of adaptor rings available to fit lenses from 58 mm to 86 mm.

The frame includes two stops at the bottom of the filter trays section to prevent the filters from falling through. The removable swing-away module makes lens changes a snap. A spring pin helps to lock the mechanism closed without manually setting the pin. 2 magnets hold it in place when closed. Removable height adjustable rod block with one tightening knob allows micro-adjustment of height, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of lenses. The rod block can be re-installed directly on the main frame for a straight configuration.
