The retro fit kit comprises of a 100mm bowl with mounted motor and battery plate, new end stops providing a safety cut out for the ends and gear racks for the 1.2m and 1.0m tracks. The 24v BLBC 60w brushless motor is driven by the multi-functional Dynastick and a standard V-lock battery. The cable link allows operation and programming over its 10m length. An optional RF link is also available for extended track lengths. The track/tubes are the strongest and most accurate collapsable rail that we have seen on the market. Constructed from high-grade 6061 aluminum for rigidity and machined to a tolerance of .001″, sections of track connect seamlessly via threaded connectors (you will not notice a “bump” when rolling over them). The 19″ sections are interchangeable with our larger 40″ PortaRail systems so if longer range is needed, you can always add more length. At the included 6.3′ length, the rails have less than 1/8″ of flex with a 40lb load placed at the center. Transporting long pipe or tube for a suspended rail system like this has been prohibitive in the past for both cost and convenience reasons. Our goal in designing this system was to provide a professional solution for traveling production that does not require carrying additional bags or a bunch of extra hardware and stands to operate. The all-in-one design of the Passport slider/dolly can save $100 or more per trip in just checked bags. Portable dolly systems where track is placed on the ground have achieved this in the past but the Passport suspended rail dolly offers a lot more flexibility in where and how you can use it such as on uneven terrain or placing the system over objects. One of the practical design elements of the carriage is that it can be used as a high-hat without any reconfiguration. Just jump the entire camera and carriage off the rails and place it wherever you like. Like all of RigWheels products, the Passport is multi-function and the included components can be used to configure the RigSkate tabletop skater. RigWheels PortaRail SKU: PR01 PortaRail collapsible camera slider rail now available. Sections are 40″ (1 meter) long and can be screwed together seamlessly via the threaded connectors. These rails are constructed from high grade 6061 aluminum which is much stronger than the architectural aluminum that is sometimes used for similar applications. The stronger material provides much more rigidity which means a more solid system with very little flex. At 80″ the camera slider rails have less than 1/8″ of flex with a 40 pound load placed at the center. Each piece goes through a 6 step process to make them straight enough and round enough for precision camera movement. 4 sections total (80″ per side) is typical for most setups but you can add as many sections as you need for longer shots. This product can also be used with many other suspended or ground-rail systems that work with a similar OD. The outside diameter is 1.65″ (41.9mm).

RigWheels RailDolly Carriage only SKU: RD01 If you want to DIY your own end-brackets you can purchase just RailDolly carriage and get the same smooth movement as in more complete systems.The RailDolly Carriage has a large footprint and provides great stability when using a full-size cameras.The RailDolly is also a good option for critical audio recording because operation is silent with it’s semi-soft wheels. This configuration uses one RigPlate, two RigAxles and two different types of skate wheels. The RailDolly Camera Slider can also be used on square or rectangular rails. Square/rectangular rails are much more rigid at long lengths than tube/pipe so if you’re going to be putting a BIG camera rig in motion this is an ideal option. With the components in this kit you can also configure our RigSkate so you get 2 great options for movement. If attaching a ball mount tripod head you will need one of our Bowl Mount Adapters. This configuration also included the parts to configure our RigSkate so you get 2 great options for movement.

RigWheels Rail Brackets RigWheels Rail Brackets are universal in BOTH width and pipe size so they can be used with virtually any suspended rail type slider/dolly on the market. You can use pipe with an outside diameter between 1″ (24mm) and 2″ (50mm). You can also use square/rectangular rails up to 1-3/4″ The useable distance between the rails (center to center) is adjustable from 5″ to 21.5″ with the 3 different lengths of cross-bars we stock. You can also use full or half-strut widely available at hardware stores to make custom lengths.
