MID49 Power Distribution Box DB-12 (Blackmagic URSA Cine, B-Mount)

MID49 Power Distribution Box DB-12 (URSA Cine, B-Mount)
SKU: M49-DB12-B
Power Distribution Box DB-12 (Blackmagic URSA Cine, B-Mount) attaches directly to the camera body using five M3 screws and provides intelligent power distribution with D-Taps, 5V USB-C PD, 3pin Fischers, and 2pin LEMO compatible connectors.
The included USB-C cable can be installed inside DB-12 and connected to the top-rear port on the camera body to enable remote start/stop capability using 3-pin Fischer devices. Hot-swap between on-board battery and 8pin LEMO compatible connector without losing camera or accessory power. When both sources are connected, the DC INPUT takes priority down to 22.8V at which point, the DB-12 will switch to an onboard battery.
With the SMART FUSE design, camera power is monitored, and the remaining power budget is allocated to accessories. For example, the URSA Cine uses approximately 4.8A at 28V, so when using a 10A capable battery, the remaining 5.2A is allocated for accessory use. If an accessory configuration exceeds the 5.2A limit, accessory power is cut off, leaving the camera powered.
The "SMART FUSE" LED will illuminate, showing the error, and once the configuration has been adjusted to lower than 5.2A, the RESET button can be pressed, and power will be re-enabled to accessory outputs. In the event of a complete short circuit, the system will immediately shut down and can only be turned back on once the short circuit has been removed.

COMPATIBLE BATTERIES
- This product is compatible with any B-Mount battery capable of 28V
INCOMPATIBLE BATTERIES
Standard 14.4V batteries will NOT power the camera system.Â
Note that the CORE Maverick Block Battery uses a voltage boost converter to get to 28V and introduces an immense amount of noise into the system, so much so that the DB-12 cannot validate it as a reliable source while an on-board battery is connected. Maverick batteries can only be used when it is the first power source connected.
