Wooden Camera Nikon Z Mount to PL Mount Adapter (Pro) SKU: 269000 Nikon Z Mount to PL Adapter (Pro) is a shimmable version of our PL lens mount adapter that enables mounting of PL mount lenses onto the Nikon Z series of Mirrorless cameras. Mount includes a foot with 1/4-20 threaded hole for attaching to a tripod eliminating strain on the camera. The foot can also attach directly to the front of the Unified DSLR Cage (Small) by two included screws. PL Cap is included to prevent dust from entering the sensor area when the lens is not attached. If you are using the Nikon Z Mount to PL Mount (Pro) without a camera cage, you can use the included WC Lens Adapter Universal Support Foot to attach directly to the bottom of your camera and lens mount. This allows all the weight to be transferred from the lens mount to the bottom of the camera to avoid any flexing or damage that could occur when using heavier lenses. In our factory, we set the flange focus using collimation tools. You only need to adjust the shims should you find that your camera is out of calibration. The adapter is shimmable by loosening six socket cap screws around the collar area, separating the two sections, and adding color-coded shims of various thickness. Back focus should be checked using collimation tools or a wide lens focused to infinity. The PL Mount is made of stainless steel and aircraft grade aluminum and includes the PL port cap. Shims are provided with the kit for adjusting back focus if it is out of calibration. Wooden Camera PL Mount Modification Kit SKU: 274600 The PL Mount Modification Kit (Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K / 6K Pro) allows users to convert their BMPCC6K camera to a PL Mount through a short modification process. All necessary tools are included in the kit. The PL Mount is made of stainless steel and aircraft grade aluminum and includes the PL port cap. Shims are provided with the kit for adjusting back focus and the appropriate shims are installed prior to shipping. Further adjustment should not be needed but can be checked using a wide angle lens and a focus chart. The BMPCC6K's own EF Mount screws are used to attach the PL Mount to the camera.The modification process can be reversed. If you choose to go back to EF mount in the future, you can do it by reversing steps in the process, however, switching back and forth will eventually strip the plastic in your camera as the sensor block is made of a composite plastic material (it is strong but still plastic).
