The AVMatrix Shark S8X is the ultimate compact 8-channel live production switcher for professional multi-camera workflows. Built around a bright 15.6″ 1080p touchscreen, it handles 6×3G-SDI + 2×4K60 HDMI inputs with full multi-view source routing – assign any source to any preview window instantly.
A dedicated AUX input accepts local video playback, UVC webcam, RTSP pull-stream, or optional NDI, making it perfect for remote guests or pre-recorded content. Output simultaneously via 2×HDMI PGM, 4×SDI PGM (all independently configurable), plus HDMI multiview and REF loop-through. Stream via RTMP/SRT/RTSP or optional NDI while recording PGM or ISO to USB drive, SD card, or 2.5″ SATA SSD. USB-C delivers lossless UVC/UAC capture straight to OBS/vMix/Zoom.
Vision mixing includes chroma key, luma key, 3× resizable PIP/POP, DSK, logo overlay, and silky T-bar/Auto/Cut transitions. Professional balanced XLR audio (48V phantom) with embedded + line inputs and full mixing. Control up to 8 PTZ cameras (VISCA/IP, Pelco) with speed, presets, WB, and focus. Record and edit complex macro scripts, plus GPIO tally for on-air lights.
Rugged aluminum chassis, single 12-19V power, and optional V-mount plate make the Shark S8X the ideal flypack for houses of worship, corporate events, education, esports, and mobile production.
