RigWheels RigPlate SKU:RP01 RigPlate is one of the most versatile pieces of camera mounting hardware you can own. Versatility is king at RigWheels. RigWheels designs everything with versatility in mind and the RigPlate camera cheese plate delivers. The first function is to serve as a camera mounting plate to attach MicroWheels to. One RigPlate and one set of MicroWheels provides you with smooth movement as a table-top / skater dolly that you can use on any smooth hard surface.Using Rigwheels RigPlate as a pipe dolly gives you scalable slider / dolly option that is tailored for the new generation of mid-size and compact cameras. Attaching two RigPlates together creates a captive-rail camera carriage that allows secure camera movement at any angle. Using RigPlate in conjunction with RigAxels adds even more capability to this simple affordable system with a more traditional table-top dolly setup and a robust pipe-dolly option.RigPlate is a great camera support platform and it can be used for much more than camera movement. With the amount and variety of mounting points there are an endless variety of accessories that can be attached. There are (14) 1/4-20 and (4) 3/8-16 threaded holes (industry standard sizes) in addition to four 5/16” and five 3/8” pass through holes. A RigPlate can be turned into a rock-solid suction mount by adding A-Cups, B-Cups or C-Cups. One thing we’re excited about is our new RigMount products. RigWheels RailDolly Carriage only SKU: RD01 If you want to DIY your own end-brackets you can purchase just RailDolly carriage and get the same smooth movement as in more complete systems.The RailDolly Carriage has a large footprint and provides great stability when using a full-size cameras.The RailDolly is also a good option for critical audio recording because operation is silent with it’s semi-soft wheels. This configuration uses one RigPlate, two RigAxles and two different types of skate wheels. The RailDolly Camera Slider can also be used on square or rectangular rails. Square/rectangular rails are much more rigid at long lengths than tube/pipe so if you’re going to be putting a BIG camera rig in motion this is an ideal option. With the components in this kit you can also configure our RigSkate so you get 2 great options for movement. If attaching a ball mount tripod head you will need one of our Bowl Mount Adapters. The track/tubes are the strongest and most accurate collapsable rail that we have seen on the market. Constructed from high-grade 6061 aluminum for rigidity and machined to a tolerance of .001″, sections of track connect seamlessly via threaded connectors (you will not notice a “bump” when rolling over them). The 19″ sections are interchangeable with our larger 40″ PortaRail systems so if longer range is needed, you can always add more length. At the included 6.3′ length, the rails have less than 1/8″ of flex with a 40lb load placed at the center. Transporting long pipe or tube for a suspended rail system like this has been prohibitive in the past for both cost and convenience reasons. Our goal in designing this system was to provide a professional solution for traveling production that does not require carrying additional bags or a bunch of extra hardware and stands to operate. The all-in-one design of the Passport slider/dolly can save $100 or more per trip in just checked bags. Portable dolly systems where track is placed on the ground have achieved this in the past but the Passport suspended rail dolly offers a lot more flexibility in where and how you can use it such as on uneven terrain or placing the system over objects. One of the practical design elements of the carriage is that it can be used as a high-hat without any reconfiguration. Just jump the entire camera and carriage off the rails and place it wherever you like. RigWheels RigMount XL8 SKU: RMXL-8 RigMount XL is a robust mounting platform designed for mounting brushless gimbals. This configuration builds on the popularity of the RigMount X magnetic mount. Brushless gimbals have quickly become a regular part of on-location production and the RigMount XL provides a quick and secure way to get dynamic shots from vehicles.  The RigWheels RigMount XL provides a wide “stance” which is ideal for the higher center of gravity associated when mounting a gimbal. The wider stance also helps distribute the weight of the gimbal and camera over a greater area so flex in body-panels is not an issue. This wider stance is also ideal for mounting larger camera rigs without a gimbal. Parts are precision machined from 6061 aluminum and machined to a tolerance of .001″. Standard configuration uses 8 of Rigwheels RigMount Magnetic Mounts. The magnets are rubber coated to protect the mounting surface.  Each of the magnets provides up to 50lb of pulling force. To help adapt to curves in the body panels of a car magnets can be screwed in/out of the the arms. Magnets can be added or removed to provide the strength necessary for your application. You can use up to 20 magnets with the mounting holes in the RigPlate and Arms (up to 1000lb of pulling force).
